Maybe not as an official tagline but still a nick name in addition to other lesser know nicknames like theWG, Webda, Dub-ya G, etc. <br /><br />I find the Grove a confusing name, especially to non-St. Louis people. I just don't care for it. I would have preferred to call the neighborhood the Sweetie Pie District or Lower West End or Van de Hipster or anything else. <br /><br />Too late now. If any shorthand expression was used it was simply, "Webster". Old Webster meant the area around Lockwood & Gore, Old Orchard the commercial strip on Big Bend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
