Finally!

In plain sight and yet so far away! This house is visible from Highway 270 northbound but I've never got off the highway and actually taken a good picture. At long last, while taking the girls to lacrosse practice at DeSmet high school, I was able to stop and take a proper picture. And, bonus, homeowners were having a garage sale!

Things are heating up in downtown St Louis

I have worked downtown for more than 20 years and I think this may be the first time I've seen this kind of hot barrel on top of a manhole. Interesting.
